Some possible applications of the spacewarp technology:

Transportation:

In a world equipped to this technology, means causing air pollution & dying of people in crashes should find redefinition & more pleasant usage.
However, I accept that many discussions need to be done to find a perfect picture. 

Pipes, Cables:

There would be no need to kilometers of pipes, cables, etc & their related problems. Imagine this picture from pipes & cables connecting the continents ? to pipes & cables in a big building. A more natural planet!
With a suitable engineering, we'd have more dominance on the strategic sources & fairly distributing them to the appropriate regions.   For example, manipulating the clouds, conveying the ices of the poles to thirsty lands, etc.

Electricity:

Consider the possibility of settling wide plates of solar batteries in proper locations on the earth or even out of it. Also wind turbines in the windy sites of mountains, etc; then connecting their produced electricity to the metropolises, farms, factories, & other consumers, by only several meters of cables put through a space-warped channel. 

The would be no need to long cables of optical fiber for servers, telephone lines, local networks, etc. Also to mail something, it'd be enough to go to an office to send or receive your letters (packs) with a less bureaucracy. Maybe the traditional delivery & post orders would survive inside the cities not among the cities or countries. 

For many places e.g., a building, a submarine, ... or a situation like journey of a tourist group, some certain "safe points" could be defined, for example a jungle, a hill, or a desert near the city for unpredictable happens like terrorists' attack, earthquake, ... in which the people can jump into a wormhole to arise in the "safe points" & save their lives. That's the same for the emergency services (faster arriving of rescue teams), ambulances, the police, security of the jails & so on. For example by initially electronic labeling an under surveillance guy, quickly after breaking the law, we can get him/her by an urgent spacewarp opening!

Space Discoveries, Colonization of Planets:

The satellites would be placed in the orbit & could be repaired so more easily. The exploration in space by telescopes would be improved. The first purpose should be seeking the intelligent life; also earth-like spheres, e.g., Mars or some Saturn's satellites to be colonized. The operation of converting their atmospheres could be controlled from the earth. 

Extracting Raw Materials, Space Mining:

We would be able to reach to deep & deeper regions under the ground & under the seas. Even we can touch to raw materials on the other planets, asteroids, ... where are so rich in minerals. 

Effects on the Environment:

Apart from decreasing the air pollution due to decreasing the use of smoke-maker vehicles, we could hope that the factories find better & remote enough places for storing their losses, even out of the earth.
Definitely I mean a cleaner planet along with enterprises to dramatically reduce the global warming.

Economy, Distribution of Goods, Welfare & Poverty: 

The companies would be able to make direct connection to their consumers for further services. By this technology, anyone can live in almost any colonized point of the universe with being available possibility, so the settled lands would be increased; that's the same for population. So, there always is a customer for a merchandise. Its consequences such as reduction of smuggling, generalizing to vital branch of food delivery, agriculture, etc are quite considerable.
